In the words of St Anselm, theology is defined traditionally as faith seeking understanding. Theology seeks to give a rational discourse for our beliefs or in the words of 1 Peter 3:15, to be ready to give a reason for our hope. Rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition, and embracing other Christian traditions — Ukranian Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, as well as others, the Faculty of Theology serves the Church by seeking to express the faith in a way that is responds to the needs and concerns of men and women today.
