What is it?
An undergraduate course offered through the Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies, Faculty of Theology
at Saint Paul University in Ottawa. You can either earn university credits or audit the course for personal interest.
This 3-credit course is applicable towards accredited university degree programs or certificates, including our
24-credit certificate in Eastern Christian Studies.
How will it work?
Each live lecture will be videoed on Thursday evening and posted to the University of Ottawa “Virtual Campus.” Discussions of lectures, readings and case studies will take place on line as well as in class.
Will I ever talk to the professor in person?
If you are taking the course on-line you will be able to contact Fr Jillions by telephone on the university's toll free number or visit his office if/when you are in the Ottawa area.
How do I register?
If you are currently registered in a program here or at the University of Ottawa or have taken courses at Saint Paul University in the past, contact the Faculty directly to register for this course

admission@ustpaul.ca or go online at http://www.ustpaul.ca/Admission to fill out an admission form
($45 fee required). We highly recommend that you register as soon as possible to receive your password and to ensure you can connect to the Virtual Campus and be ready to begin the course on January 14, 2010.
What does it cost?
$535 (Canadian funds) to register for this course as a part-time student.
What equipment do I need to follow this online course?
You will need a computer, an internet connection and a browser (like Internet Explorer). Once you have registered,
you will be given the technical guidelines for accessing the course through the Virtual Campus. You will also need
to purchase the required texts (see the full course description). These are available through our university bookstore at bookstore@ustpaul.ca.
When does the course begin and end?
You will be able to access the course materials on Jan 14, 2010. The last class will be on April 8. The final take-home exam will be due April 15th.
