How do I get to Saint Paul University?
Two OC Transpo
buses stop at Saint Paul University: #5 and #16. There is
also a shuttle bus that goes back and forth between the University
of Ottawa and Saint Paul University. There is no charge for
the shuttle bus for Saint Paul University students.
Where is Saint Paul University situated in Ottawa?
Saint Paul University is located at 223 Main Street in Ottawa.
Nestled among the trees between the Rideau Canal and the Rideau
River, the University is within walking distance or a short
bus ride to all major attractions in Ottawa.
Saint Paul University is part of a quiet residential neighbourhood.
Nearby businesses include a medical and physiotherapy clinic,
a pharmacy, the Green Door vegetarian restaurant, a natural
foods store, a spiritual/self-help bookstore, an alternative
medicine centre, and a Lebanese convenience store.

The brand-new Saint Paul University residence opened in September

What is the average age of the student population
at Saint Paul University?
Our students’ average age is 37 years old, but since
2002, the student population under 25 has doubled.
What are the student activities at SPU?
Students can participate in a variety of activities, including
spiritual celebrations, be part of a committee or participate
in different activities planned by Saint Paul University Student
Association.
Are there any part-time jobs available for students
at the University?
The Work-Study Plan allows students
to work on campus during their study session. Contracts are
a maximum of 10 hours per week, for a total of 125 hours per
semester.
What are the attractions in the National Capital
Region?
The National Capital Region is home to art galleries, museums,
theatres, symphony, research centres, restaurants, cultural
festivals and much more.
Can I take courses at the University of Ottawa?
Yes. If you are registered in one of the faculties of Saint
Paul University, you may take courses in another faculty of
the University of Ottawa under the following conditions:
- students must obtain an authorization from their faculty;
- students must be accepted by the faculty offering the
course;
- students must register for the course they wish to attend.
Does Saint Paul University offer distance education?
The Faculties of Theology, Human Sciences and Philosophy at
Saint Paul University offer distance courses. Consult the
