Mission Statement The Saint Paul University Ethics Centre is a university body dedicated to the promotion of reflection and open dialogue on ethical issues encountered by society. History Established in 1989 by a group of professors from the Faculty of Theology of Saint Paul University, and devoted to the promotion of quality dialogue on ethical issues raised by technology in a pluralist society, the Centre for Techno-Ethics received the mandate, in September 2000, to broaden its fields of research and intervention. On June 13, 2001, the name of the Centre was changed to
Saint Paul University Ethics Centre to indicate the broadening
of the Centre's interests. Areas of study include ethics in
the workplace, ethics and the media, bioethics, public affairs
ethics and other fields related to current issues. |
